COMMUNION Studio approached me to help translate Rosewood’s new masterbrand into a global verbal identity. The work spanned narrative strategy, brand messaging and tone of voice, creating a scalable framework for 40+ hotels while allowing individual properties to retain their sense of place and character.

Set atop acres of a windswept peninsula, Rosewood Cape Kidnappers embodies the quiet majesty of New Zealand’s farmlands. Sheep and cattle graze open pastures. Native birds call from the diverse ecosystems of Cape Sanctuary. Trails wind through rolling hills and ancient gullies to the climactic cliffs that meet the Pacific.
This is Hawke’s Bay—'New Zealand’s fruit bowl' and a Great Wine Capital of the World—where epicurean encounters are defined by regionality. Strawberries from Havelock North. Beef from Matangi. Herbs, fruits and vegetables hand-picked by chefs from the kitchen garden form the foundations of meticulously crafted cuisine.
